Fact Masters!!
Multiplication is very important to learn in third grade!
This is a foundation for math 3rd grade on!
You are going to LOVE your multiplication math facts!
We will spend 15-45 minutes EVERY DAY learning multiplication! We will learn our facts by working with GROUPS OF, drawing a picture, drawing an array, solving repeated addition, and using other strategies. There are many ways you can practice at home- flash cards, war, online games, math races, etc.
Students must pass a one minute timed test, three times, for each fact. There will be random review tests as well as the students move up in mjultiplication. We teach multiplication in the following order:
2, 5, 10, 0/1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12.
We want students to UNDERSTAND their facts not just memorize them. Ideally, students should have all their facts mastered by the end of February.
